The ATS Allison LCT-1000 Complete Transmission features the LCT-1000 urade kit and is specifically designed to reliably handle the massive torque of a modified Duramax Turbo Diesel. This unit ships complete with the transmission kit already in place and ready to install in the vehicle. This is a great option for installers who may not have a great deal of experience with the internal features of the transmission. This unit is completely rebuilt and includes the legendary ATS Triple-Pack, new bushings, bearings, clutches, and an ATS High Capacity Transmission Pan.
The upgrade kit is designed to work with the ATS TripleLok® Torque Converter and the ATS Five Star™ Torque Converter . Installation of the ATS TripleLokTorque Converter and ATS Upgrade Kit works extremely well, and has been tested at power levels over 500 HP / 1000 lb ft. This is without a doubt the most advanced solution for effectively using your Duramax power for towing or for fun! For extreme towing or high horsepower applications, the addition of the Co-Pilot© is required.
The ATS Five Star© is a revolutionary Torque Converter that utilizes all of the technologies of a traditional torque converter plus the innovative ATS Viskus Clutch Drive. The ATS Viskus Clutch Drive is the heart of the ATS Five Star© Torque Converter.

The ATS Viskus Clutch Drive, along with the fluid-coupling portion of the torque converter, share in the increase of transfer of power through the torque converter. Unlike other torque converters relying on fluid transfer from the impeller to the turbine via the stator, the Five Star© utilizes ATS Viskus Clutch Drive technology that transfers rotational energy from the engine to the transmission. When the Torque Converter Clutch is commanded to come on, the 5 clutch plates provide a 100% mechanical engagement ensuring no plate slippage during lockup, even at power levels in excess of 2000 foot pounds of torque!

  • Oversized high load thrust bearings in place of plastic washers

The ATS Commander© has been developed to provide control over converter lockup in your vehicle. Factory computers are programmed to disengage lockup under many conditions that often inhibits the performance of the transmission. With a Five Star¿ Torque Converter and The ATS Commander© in place, these non-lockup torque converter situations are no longer an issue.
